It is my pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA and to express my appreciation to the organisers of the TransLogistica Forum for creating a professional platform that brings together representatives of transport, logistics and business sectors of our countries. The TransLogistica Forum and TRACECA share a common aspiration to build modern, sustainable and reliable connectivity in the region.
Today, the TRACECA corridor is undergoing an important phase of transformation. Growing cargo flows, increasing interest in the corridor routes and strengthening ties between Europe and Asia are creating new opportunities for our states while at the same time calling for modern approaches to management, coordination and modernisation of the sector.
The modern transport sphere is no longer limited to physical infrastructure alone. Speed, digitalisation, predictability and reliability of logistics processes are now at the forefront. That is why TRACECA activities are aimed at shaping a more balanced, interconnected and sustainable space. Furthermore, the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA is paying particular attention to the introduction of modern technological solutions. The signing of the Agreement on a Single Transit Permit and its further practical implementation, the transition of multilateral permits to digital format, the integration of e-TIR, e-CMR and e-CIM/SMGS systems, as well as the creation of a unified data exchange platform among the member states, will contribute to reducing cargo transit time and enhancing the transparency of operations.
In addition, the expansion of multimodal hubs, the improvement of border infrastructure and the introduction of Single Window mechanisms are essential conditions for further strengthening the competitiveness of the corridor.
We attach particular importance to the development of international partnerships and engagement with the business community. The stable functioning of international routes in the context of the global economy is possible only through the coordinated cooperation among states, international financial institutions and the private sector.
TRACECA will continue to promote transport connectivity in the region, with particular focus on digitalisation, the improvement of logistics and the introduction of modern solutions that meet the demands of the time.
I wish all participants of the TransLogistica Forum fruitful work, constructive dialogue, productive discussions and new professional achievements!
