Azerbaijan is one of the key countries of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), and this corridor cannot exist without Azerbaijan.
The opinion of the transport and logistics market participants on the functioning of the TITR is important to us, which is why the first Caspian Transport and Logistics Forum held in Baku on June 2 was very valuable.
Such an international forum should be convened more often and regularly.
The format of the Baku meeting allowed to present the views of experienced specialists and young professionals, officials, and representatives of the private sector.
It is also of paramount importance that the President of Azerbaijan understands the importance of the development of TITR, devotes great attention to the project, and gives appropriate instructions to the government to implement the required measures.
We are addressing all the necessary issues for the effective functioning of TITR step by step, but the process needs to be accelerated.
There are issues with infrastructure development (ports, railways), the shallowing of the Caspian Sea, rolling stock, digitalization, integration of information systems, and legal aspects.
Live meetings help make progress on pressing issues, and the TITR project is very active.
